This antenna covers 144 Mhz -
148 Mhz and 440 Mhz - 450 Mhz with less than 1.5:1 SWR Dual Band PVC
encased J-Pole, this antenna is a unique design. The antenna is approx. 56 inches long and the stand off
section is 20 inches ( 1/4 wavelength)
and is used to mount to your tower or
mast pipe up to 1 1/4 inch diam.
This J-Pole is most versatile and works great in every
situation I have used it for. We have taken these to Dayton and mounted them to
the railing on the balcony of our hotel
room to use for voice and for packet. We have used these at Field Day and in
VHF/UHF contests for FM contacts.
Whether you are new to the hobby or have been a Ham for years you will be amazed
at how well these J-Poles work.
Mount in an attic if you are restricted on outside
antennas you can put up.
I have had mine side
mounted on my tower at 20 feet and regularly work repeaters 50-75 miles away.
They have a low angle radiation pattern, this is a key to
why they work so well.
Our J-Poles are not the same
designs you have seen on elsewhere on ebay, in QST or other sites online. This
is an original design by Ron WT9H and each J-Pole is hand made with high quality parts by Ron and myself. The
antenna is not made with TV twin lead or coax.
These J-Poles
are great for Field Day, using at you home Qth, digipeaters, APRS, take one with
you in the camper, setting up Ham Radio demonstrations, emergency backup or disaster support. Plus anything
else you can think of.
They will easily handle several hundred watts of power and will last for
years. They come with a standard SO-239 connector so just screw on
your coax and you are ready to go. They ship with a
stand off and a 2nd snap tee to attach it
to your tower, mast pipe, or just a push up pole. The snap tee has a cut
out so it will slip on a tower leg or mast and can be easily secured with hose
clamps (not included)
